| Abstract: | Introduction. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming the landscape of modern dentistry, adapting everything from diagnostics to patient care. AI-powered imaging technology is now able to detect caries, periodontal disease, and oral pathologies with distinguished speed and precision. Material and methods. A review of recent literature and clinical applications was conducted focusing on AI-based imaging, predictive analytics and robotic-assisted procedures. Results. Predictive analytics help tailor treatment plans, while robotic-assisted technologies are enhancing exactitude and preciseness in surgical procedures. Faster workflows, improved clinical outcomes, and greater access to superior oral healthcare, are not only science fiction words, but realities due to those advancements. This presentation explores the synergy between AI innovation and the irreplaceable human touch, arguing that the future of dentistry lies not in replacing dentists with robots, but in empowering them with intelligent tools that enhance rather than diminish the art of patient-centered care. Conclusion. AI brings remarkable advantages to dentistry but the human touch and empathy remain irreplaceable in patient care. |
