Managementul radiculopatiilor lombare dicogene cronice şi recurente

Abstract

Chronic low back pain represents approximately 5% from the total account of cases with low back pain , but cause the biggest costs of the treatment. Several therapeutical options exist for the treatment of chronic low back pain and they are analyzed in this study. Epidural steroid injection is a low-risk alternative to surgical intervention in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation. The objective of this study was to determine the comparative efficacy of epidural steroid injection in the treatment of patients with a symptomatic lumbar herniated nucleus pulposus who are surgical candidates.

Durerea lombară cronică reprezintă aproximativ 5% din toate cazurile de durere lombară, dar necesită cele mai mari costuri pentru tratament. Pentru durerea lombară cronică există cîteva opţiuni de tratament şi ele sunt analizate în acest studiu. Infiltraţiile epidurale cu corticosteroizi reprezintă o alternativă terapeutică cu cost redus făţă de intervenţia chirurgicală în tratamentul pacienţilor cu hernii de disc lombare simptomatice.
