Abstract: Background. CAD/CAM technology has redefined modern dental prosthetics by improving the precision, efficiency, and aesthetics of all-ceramic restorations. This transition from traditional techniques to digital workflows optimizes prosthetic treatment. With rapid technological progress and the continuous development of the dental industry, the use of CAD/CAM technology in dental prosthetics has become a central topic of research and innovation. CAD/CAM technology (Computer-Aided Design/Computer-Aided Manufacturing), an essential stage in the design and fabrication process of dental prostheses, provides modern and innovative solutions for complex prosthetic treatment tasks. This technology paves the way for the creation of customized, precise, and durable prostheses that will revolutionize dentistry. Objective of the study Evaluation of the clinical and technical advantages of all-ceramic restorations fabricated using CAD/CAM technology in relation to conventional techniques used in fixed prosthodontics. Material and methods. Current clinical studies, specialized literature, and technical data regarding the digital workflow were analyzed: intraoral scanning, CAD design, and CAM fabrication, with emphasis on ceramics used in modern systems. Results. All-ceramic restorations fabricated through CAD/CAM demonstrate superior marginal precision, increased durability, and a significant reduction in working time compared with conventional techniques. Marginal adaptation is positively influenced by the elimination of manual steps prone to errors. Conclusions. CAD/CAM systems significantly contribute to modern prosthetic practice through increased predictability and superior quality of restorations.
