| Abstract: | Type 1 diabetes it’s an autoimmune disease in which pancreatic beta cells are destroyed. The classical method of treatment, including substituted insulin injection, creates discomfort for patients. Nowadays as alternative methods of type 1 diabetes treatment is: autogenous or alogenous cells transplantation, embryonic stem cells, xenogenous transplantation and genetic therapy.
Diabetul zaharat de tip I este o maladie autoimună caracterizată prin distrugerea celulelor beta pancreatice. Terapia clasică se efectuează prin administrarea substitutivă a insulinei creând astfel un disconfort pentru bolnavi. Actualmente ca metode alternative de tratament se utilizează transplantarea autogenă, transplantul alogen, celulele stem embrionare, xenotransplantul şi terapia genică. |
