Disfuncţia erectilă la pacienţi cu diabet zaharat

Abstract

Erectile dysfunction (ED) represents one of the medico-social problems which is widespread in the world. In the structure of patients with ED the share of men with diabetes mellitus is 40%. The risk of ED in patients with diabetes mellitus is three times higher in comparison with the general population. Also, there is a correlation between the duration of diabetes mellitus and ED: the longer is the duration of the disease, the more likely the appearance of ED is.

Disfuncţia erectilă (DE) reprezintă o problemă medico-socială care este foarte răspândită în lume. În structura pacienţilor cu DE 40% le revin bărbaţilor care suferă de diabet zaharat. Riscul apariţiei DE la persoanele cu diabet zaharat este de 3 ori mai mare comparativ cu populaţia generală. De asemenea, există o corelaţie dintre durata diabetului zaharat şi DE: cu cât durata bolii este mai lungă, cu atât probabilitatea dezvoltării DE este mai mare.
