| Abstract: | The study is based on the analysis of the use of therapeutic contact lenses, apllied to a
group of 14 pacients with corneal ulcer; the other group (12 pacients) received a traditional
treatment. It has been noted, that the use of therapeutic contact lenses shortened the period of
corneal epithelisation, protecting the cornea and assuring a better distribution of local medicines.
Studiul este bazat pe analiza rezultatelor utilizării lentilelor de contact terapeutice aplicate
unui lot de 14 pacienţi cu ulcer corneean; celălalt lot (12 pacieţti cu ulcer cornean) a primit
tratament tradiţional. Examenul statistic a verificat rezultatele pozitive ale aplicării lentilelor de
contact în comparaţie cu tratamentul tradiţional. Lentilele de contact utilizate au micşorat timpul
de epitelizare a corneei, protejând corneea şi asigurând o distribuţie mai eficientă a remediilor
topice. |
