Introduction: For the first time de novo formation of blood vessels as a cause of the varicose veins recurrence was assumed on the end of XIX century. Intraoperative macroscopic criteria of this phenomenon are well known: communication of newformed vessels with the common femoral vein or the stump of great saphenous vein, the tortuous course of these vessels, the presence of perivascular scar tissue, the atypical chaotic ramification of the confluences, and absence of valves in the vascular lumen.en_US
