Abstract

Overdenture on implants is an alternative way of tretment in edentation therapy, it is a deployble prosthetic supported, maintained and stabilized on implants with special methods of retention. The patiets that benefit of this type of prosthetic, which is a complete one, including also the costs for additional surgery from conventional prostesis, sould be properly informed on the benefits and also on the possible problems of this kind of tretment. As well, come out the necessity of informing the patient about the implants, a new treatment introduced in dental practice. Withal the patient is infomed about the aspects of dispensary and sanitation, which patient should know. In conclusion, the prosthetic is an alternative treatment with numerous benefits, but that need a complex approach from the doctors side and the availability to guide the patient for choosing the optimal variant of the treatment in each case.

Supraprotezarea pe implante reprezintă o alternativă de tratament în terapia edentaţiei totale, fiind o protezare mobilizabilă sprijinită, menţinută şi stabilizată pe implante cu mijloace speciale de retenţie. Pacienţii care beneficiază de acest tip de protezare, care este una complexă, incluzând atât costuri cât şi intervenţii chirurgicale suplimentare faţă de protezarea convenţională, trebuie să fie corect informaţi asupra beneficiilor dar şi asupra problemelor pe care le ridică acest tip de tratament. De asemenea, apare necesitatea informării pacientului asupra aplicării implantelor, tratament nou introdus în practica stomatologică. Tot în cadrul informării pacientului sunt menţionate aspectele legate de dispensarizarea şi igienizarea pacientului, care trebuiesc aduse la cunoştinţa acestuia. În concluzie, protezarea pe implante este o alternativă de tratament cu numeroase beneficii, dar care necesită din partea medicului o abordare complexă a cazului şi disponibilitate de a îndruma pacientul spre alegerea variantei optime de tratament pentru fiecare caz.
