Abstract:	Introducere: Catastrofismul reprezintă o stare mentală negativă exagerată, creată pentru a face faţă unei experienţe dureroase actuale sau anticipate. Durerea postoperatorie acută intensă, DPOI (≥5/10 pe SVN) are o prevalenţă înaltă (24-46% - în Europa de Vest şi 64% - în Republica Moldova). Scopul lucrării :Compararea prevalenţei durerii postoperatorii acute intense la pacienţii cu vs. fără catastrofism. Introduction: Catastrophism is an exaggerated negative mental state, created to meet a current or anticipated painful experience. Postoperative acute severe pain, PASP (≥5/10, VNS) has a high prevalence (24-46% – in West European countries and 64% – in Republic of Moldova). Goal of the Study: Our aim was to compare the prevalence of PASP in patient with vs without catastrophism.
