| Abstract: | Summary. The present study included 191 patients with prostate cancer, treated in the department of Urology Oncology Institute during the 2009year. Predictive value of PSA in prostate cancer detection through puncture biopsy, was 20% for PSA between 4-10 ng/ml. Prevalence of prostate cancer was greatest at PSA above 10 ng/ml in groups of age 61-70 ,71-80 years. PSA is a useful test for the detection and monitoring of prostate cancer. |
