| Abstract: | Summary. The use of early diagnostic methods/screening for prostate cancer would lead to the increase in the number of patients with radical treatment indication. Survivor when tumor is diagnosed in its early phase is significantly superior to cases diagnosed in late stages. The main methods for diagnosis and monitoring of prostate cancer are: 1. prostatic specific antigen (PSA), 2. digital rectal examination(DRE) 3. transrectal ultrasound 4. transrectal prostate biopsy. |
