AbstractSummary. ERA-EDTA activity analysis has shown that this international organization promotes both general and specific international health care strategies. Scientifical and editorial activities of ERA-EDTA are characterized through evidence based medicine implementation in nephrology, dialysis and transplantation. NephroQUEST is a commune initiative of many international organizations (intrnational collaboration), which is directed to the standard monitoring procedure elaboration. ERA-EDTA develops different educational activities both for patients and medical staff. COSMOS study development by ERA-EDTA creates a viable alternative to the pharmacy industry-sponsored trials and reflects general diversification strategy.
