dc.description.abstract Introduction: De Quervain's tenosynovitis is a tendinopathy of the first dorsal compartment of the wrist, wich consists of the tendons of the extensor pollicis brevis and the abductor pollicis longus. This compartment is situated above the radial styloid process. Pathology that causes pain, functional impotence, during the extention of the thumb. Purpose: To distinguish the particularity of its incidence depending on sex, age, affected limb and the evolution over time of the disease before and after surgical treatment. Material and methods: For this study was reviwed speciality literature and 60 patients treated in Clinical Orthopedics and Traumatology Hospital during 2018- 2020. Conclusions: De Quervain tenosynovitis, a pathology that mainly affects women, the average age is 40-60 years, the predominant limb is the right one, and drug and physiotherapy treatment bring only a slight improvement over a short period of time, the basic treatment is surgery. en_US
