dc.description.abstract Introduction. Chickenpox is a highly contagious respiratory disease that is clinically characterized by a vesicular rash that occurs in waves and most often evolve in mild to moderate forms, but can lead to severe complications such as encephalitis, pneumonia and other bacterial complications.Material andmethods. Chickenpox morbidity data from Form 2, Epidemiological Bulletin of Infectious Diseases were analyzed. Indices as morbidity, multiannual dynamics of morbidity, morbidity by age, gender were analyzed and calculated.Purpose. It was the determination of chickenpox morbidity in the multiannual dynamics and by age in the Republic of Moldova, data that may be an argument for the inclusion in the vaccination schedule of chickenpox immunization.Multiannual morbidity dynamics due to chickenpox in mun. Chisinau and Republic of Moldova, during the years 2004-2019, depending on the adult-child age groups, we found the higher incidence in children, wich is higher in the population of mun. Chisinau compared to the Republic of Moldova. According to the age groups of children, but also depending on the geographical distribution, the highest morbidity was recorded in the age group 3-6 years, followed by 0-2 years and 7-17 years.Conclusions. Chickenpox is a major public health due to possible complications and intense spread especially among children and they should be vaccinated against it. en_US
