dc.description.abstract Introduction Hepatitis E Virus Infection represents a global public health issue, as well as for the Republic of Moldova. Given this, the European Association for the Study of the Liver created in 2018 a practical guide of clinical conduct, epidemiology, diagnosis, treatment, and prophylaxis.Results The family went on a vacation in Egypt from 16- 23.03.19. The first gets sick mother with nausea, vomiting twice, loss of appetite, general weakness - lasting a week, then the condition improved. Then the 2 children get sick, with the same clinical symptoms, which improve quickly. The latter ill father with - nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, pain in the right costal rim, acholic stool, general malaise. From investigations – hypertransaminazemia and directed to HCID "Toma Ciorbă", where was confirmed viral hepatitis E. From the epidemiological investigation - the mother sometimes used tap water and the personal hygiene was not always respected in the family.Material and methods The study constituted of 4 members of a young family: mother, father, and 2 children, aged 4 years and 1 year and 6 months.Conclusions A family outbreak has been reported with hepatitis E, in which the first contact was most likely, via water. The disease in the first three patients evolved into a mild form and in latter case evolved into a medium form, which was confirmed clinically and by long term transaminesmia. en_US
