Gigantomastia: cazuri clinice

Abstract

Rezumat: Gigantomastia este nu doar o afecţiune fizică, dar şi o afecţiune la nivel psihologic. Este rară, reprezentînd o hiperplazie extremă a ambelor glande mamare, care poate fi întîlnită în perioada de dezvoltare pubertată. Cauzele acestor anomalii încă nu sunt elucidate definitiv, dar în mare măsură se datorează unor devieri hormonale intense din această perioad ă. Se disting 2 forme de gigantomastie: (1) hipertrofia juvenilă, virginală şi (2) hipertrofia grăsoasă, hipertrofie falsă. Ambele forme provoacă discomfort fizic şi psihic şi necesită corecţie chirurgicală. Sunt propuse atenției cazuri clinice de corecţie chiru rgicală a gigantomastiei în ambele variante de manifestare ale acestei anomalii.

Summary: Gigantomastia is not just a physical ailment, but an illness at a psychological level. It's rare, being an extreme hyperplasia of both mammary glands, which can be kind of development in the period of puberty. The causes of these abnormalities are not yet cleared up definitively, but in large measure this occurs due to intense hormonal deviations from that period. There were 2 types of gigantomastia: (1) juvenile, and (2) false hypertrophy. Both forms causing physically and mentally discomfort and requires surgical correction. We present clinical cases of surgical correction of gigantomastia in both versions of this abnormality.
