Abstract:
It is believed that in case of duodenal ulcer, liver disease
occur secondary. The modification of the portal circuit in
duodenal ulcer isn’t accompanied by changes in arterial
inflow to the liver, while, in case of arterial infarction, is
compromised the portal circuit. Doppler ultrasound, in addition to identifying vascular structures, can demonstrate the
reversal of the hepatic fl ow at liver level in many pathologies, including acute duodenal ulcer.
