Abstract:
Dry eye syndrome is a disease of the ocular surface, which in the conditions of the economic, technological and living changes of the last years can become a social problem in our country. In the study we examined 219 patients (438 eyes) using the determination of visual acuity, slit-lamp examination, Shirmer test, OSDI (Oular Surface Disease Index) score. The results of the study showed an increased rate of patients with signs or symptoms of Dry Eyes (64,8%), but also the influence of the disease on the quality of life (31%).
