Abstract:
One of the major outcomes in chronic rheumatological diseases is the imparment of physical function. One of the major
purposes of treatment is to improve the physical function
and mantain it at an acceptable level. The purpose of the
study is to research the relationship between disease activity, radiological lesions and physical function in patients
with ankylosing spondilitis (AS). The importance of the
study results from the efficiency of TNF-α blocking agents
in controlling the signs and symptoms in AS while failing to
control the progression of morphological lesions.
