Assessment of the domestic pharmaceutical market of combinedpreparations

Abstract

Background. The combined drugs contain in a single preparation two or more agents with different therapeutic action, in a fixed dose. These drugs are involved in several mechanisms which arise in triggering of the pathological condition and increase the likelihood of obtaining amplified therapeutic response. Objective of the study. Evaluation of the domestic pharmaceutical market of fixed doses combinations of drugs. Material and Methods. Analysis of the State Nomenclature of medicines regarding the products authorized in the Republic of Moldova on 30.04.2020. Results. In the last 3 years, the number of drugs registered in the RM is decreased of 1.82%. About 10% of the total number is combined products (616 out of 6133). According to the ATC classification, most combinations are in the group “Nervous system” (18%) and “Respiratory system” (17%), and the fewest are in the class “Systemic hormonal preparations” (2%). Of the total number of combined drugs, the remedies used in ear diseases hold a very small percentage, about 0.16%, half of which are analgesic, anesthetic and antiinflammatory remedies, the rest being anti-infective drugs. Out of the total number of otological drugs, only 7 are combined. Conclusion. There is a low number of combined drugs registered in the RM compared to neighboring states, being opportune the researches for the development of new domestic combined products.

Introducere. Remediile combinate presupun asocierea într-un singur preparat a doi sau mai mulţi agenţi cu acţiune terapeutică diferită, în doză fixă. Aceste medicamente se implică în mai multe mecanisme ce intervin în declanşarea stării patologice și cresc probabilitatea de a obţine răspuns terapeutic sporit. Scopul lucrării. Evaluarea pieței farmaceutice autohtone a combinațiilor cu doze fixe de medicamente. Material și Metode. Analiza Nomenclatorului de Stat a medicamentelor cu privire la produsele autorizate în RM la data de 30.04.2020. Rezultate. În ultimii trei ani se atestă o micșorare cu 1,82% a numărului de medicamente înregistrate în RM. Circa 10% din numărul total îl constituie produsele combinate (616 din 6133). Conform clasificării ATC, cele mai multe combinații sunt din grupul „Sistem nervos”(18%) și „Aparatul respirator” (17%), iar cele mai puține sunt în clasa „Preparate hormonale sistemice” (2%). Din numărul total de medicamente combinate, remediile utilizate în afecțiunile auriculare ocupă un procent foarte mic, circa 0,16%, dintre care ½ constituie remedii analgezice, anestezice și antiinflamatoare, restul fiind preponderent medicamente antiinfecțioase. Din totalul medicamentelor otologice doar 7 sunt combinate. Concluzii. Se constată un număr redus de medicamente combinate înregistrate în RM comparativ cu statele vecine, fiind oportune cercetările de elaborare a produselor autohtone combinate noi.
