Some bioethical aspects in treatment of tuberculosis

Abstract

Background. Tuberculosis has become one of the most pressing problems facing global medicine today. The treatment is long-lasting, with severe side effects, difficult to bear by patients. The correct bioethical approach of patients increases the success of treatment. Objective of the study. Highlighting and elucidating the application of bioethical postulates in the relationship between physician and tuberculosis patient and the impact that the implementation of bioethical principles has in the context of an effective treatement. Material and Methods. In order to achieve the mentioned purpose, the literature review was analyzed, using 15 bibliographic and digital sources with reference to the approached topic. Results. The efficiency in treatment of tuberculosis is based on the possibility of cooperation well established between the patient and the medical and psycho-social staff involved. The study also specifies the stages of adherence to treatment, through professionally applying bioethical principles. It was also elucidated the developement and application in practice of individualized strategies for the use of bioethical postulates specific for each patients. Conclusion. The diagnosis and treatment of tuberculosis generates a difficult psycho-emotional and social state and very vulnerable for the patient. The professional implementation of bioethical postulates in the field of phthisis produces a beneficial effect of increasing the efficiency of the greater. Introducere. Tuberculoza a devenit una din problemele cruciale cu care se confruntă omenirea la momentul actual. Tratamentul este de lungă durată, cu reacții adverse severe, dificil suportate de către pacienți. Abordarea corectă bioetică a pacienților sporește reușita tratamentului. Scopul lucrării. Reliefarea și elucidarea aplicării postulatelor bioetice în relația medic ftiziatru-pacientul tuberculos și impactul pe care îl are implimentarea principiilor bioetice în contextul unui tratament eficient. Material și Metode. Pentru realizarea scopului menționat s-a efectuat analiza reviului literaturii, utilizând 15 surse bibliografice și digitale cu referire la tema abordată. Rezultate. Eficiența în tratamentul ftiziatric se bazează pe posibilitatea unei cooperări bine stabilite între pacient și personalul medical și psiho-social implicat. De asemenea, studiul specifică etapele aderenței la tratament, factorii care influențează complianța pacientului față de tratament prin aplicarea profesionistă a principiilor bioetice. Au fost specificate metodele motivaționale pentru îmbunătățirea eficacității tratamentului. Dezvoltarea și aplicarea în practică a unor strategii individualizate de utilizare a postulatelor bioetice, specifice pentru fiecare pacient. Concluzii. Diagnosticul și tratamentul antituberculos generează o stare psiho-emoțională și socială dificilă și foarte vulnerabilă pentru pacient. Implimentarea profesionistă a postulatelor bioetice în domeniul ftiziatric produce un efect benefic de sporire a eficienței tratamentului.
