| dc.description.abstract | Summary. Тhe importance of prevention with iodine after nuclear accidents. Medical negative consequences of the disastrous accident from the Chernobyl are tangible till present and the thyroid pathology has a special place among them. It is caused by the action of radioactive iodine and can be greatly minimized by the implementation of prophylaxis with stable iodine. The basic principles, benefits and risks of iodine prophylaxis are reported in this article. | en_US |
