Evaluarea geriatrică complexă la pacienţii din secţia de geriatrie a Centrului Naţional de Geriatrie şi Gerontologie din Moldova

Abstract

Geriatric assessment is a broad term used to describe the health evaluation of the older patient, which emphasizes components and outcomes different from that of the standard medical evaluation. During the last two years of the activity of the National Center of Geriatrics and Gerontology (NCGG) has been realized the main task to develop an adequate geriatric structure for the Republic of Moldova. The geriatric departments from the entire Republic develop their activities according to the standards of the comprehensive geriatric assessment (CGA) adapted according to the possibilities of implementation and to the existing problems in this contingent of the population.

Evaluarea geriatrică reprezintă un termen vast ce descrie aprecierea sănătăţii pacientului vârstnic, care pune accentul pe componentele şi evoluţia evenimentelor diferite de evaluarea medicală standard. În decursul a 2 ani de activitate a Centrului Naţional de Geriatrie şi Gerontologie (CNGG) a fost realizată sarcina principală de a dezvolta structura geriatrică adecvată pentru Republica Moldova. Secţiile de geriatrie din întreaga Moldova îşi desfăşoară activitatea conform standardelor internaţionale de Evaluare Geriatrică Complexă (EGC) adaptată la posibilităţile de implementare şi problemele caracteristice acestui contingent de populaţie.
