dc.description.abstract We proposed analysis of 32 patients with carpal tunnel syndrome where as etiologic factor intervened typical location radius fractures. According to the classification by A. Kapandji 1998, we determined that most cases of carpal tunnel syndrome caused by typical location radius fractures were caused by type IV fractures - 12 (37.5 ± 14.5%) cases. In type IV fracture fragments displacement occurs cranially of stiloidian fragment and formation of two distal fragments of radial bone moving above, decreasing so carpal canal contents. Intrafocal reduction of fragments, stabilization with brooches, may avoid carpal tunnel syndrome.
