Summary
A polyp of the prostatic part of the urethra at children's is a rare pathological finding. For the first
time the polyp of the prostathic part of urethra was described by L. Jores in 1894. A 7 year-old boy
was hospitalized in our clinic with acute urinary retention. Ultrasound investigation, x-ray and endoscopic examinations revealed a polyp of the prostathic urethra. The polyp was resected by open
bladder surgery. The resection resolved the urinary retention. The morphological analysis: fibrous
polyp of posterior uretra.
