Impactul stomatologic în cadrul unor patologii infecţioase virale

Abstract

Rezumat Rezultatele obţinute într-un secol în patologia bolilor infecţioase au dus la o viziune optimistă cu privire la prezentul şi viitorul lor. Trebuie analizat în mod realist această afirmaţie, pentru a preciza cu adevărat, care este situaţia actuală a bolilor infecţioase. Această atitudine realistă de prudenţă este justificată de situaţia actuală şi tendinţele bolilor infecţioase, care departe de a fi dispărut, prezintă aspecte noi, dificil uneori de diagnosticat, tratat şi combătut. În această sinteză a literaturii sunt analizate unele aspecte ale patologiei infecţioase virale cu care mai frecvent se întâlnesc medicii stomatologi. Sunt menţionate unele particularităţi al infecţiilor nozocomiale, care sunt întâlnite în activitatea stomatologică. Necesitatea unei înţelegeri profunde a problemelor patologiei infecţioase de către medicii stomatologi este o problemă esenţială de importanţă vitală personală cât şi pentru pacienţi. Este necesar ca să cunoască bine toate posibilile manifestări clinice de etiologie virală, pentru diferenţierea de îmbolnăviri de altă natură, dar cu manifestări asemănătoare la nivelul cavităţii bucale, şi a institui un plan de tratament adecvat, bazat pe unele probe de laborator, eventual în colaborare strânsă cu alţi specialişti [1,12,15].

Summary The results obtained for a century in the infectious diseases have led to an optimistic view of their present and future. This statement needs to be realistically analyzed, to make it clear, what is the current state of infectious diseases. This realistic attitude of caution is justified by the current situation and trends of infectious diseases, which, is far from being gone, present new aspects, which are sometimes difficult to diagnose, treat and control. In this synthesis from the literature, some aspects of the viral infectious pathology with which dentists are most frequently encountered are analyzed. There are mentioned some peculiarities of the nosocomial infections, which are encountered in the dental activity. The need for a deep understanding of the problems of infectious pathology by dentists is an essential issue of personal vital importance as well as for patients. It is necessary to know all the possible clinical manifestations of viral etiology, for the differentiation of diseases of another nature, but with similar clinical manifestations in the oral cavity, and to establish an adequate treatment plan, based on some laboratory tests, possibly close cooperation with other specialists [1,12,15].
