Rezumat.
A fost determinată prevalenţa malocluziilor și necesitatea de tratament
orthodontic la copiii cu dizabilităţi neurologice. În Republica Moldova și
corelaţia lor cu genul și sexul. Au fost examinaţi 420 copii cu dizabilităţi
neurologice cu vîrstele 6-20 ani din trei școli special. Datele au fost înregistrate în chestionare cu privire la datele obţinute și informaţia socio-dermografică. Copiii au fost examinaţi în clase luminoase, la lumina naturală. Datele au fost prelucrate statistic. La examenul copiilor cu dizabilităţi
neurologice nu s-a constata diferenţe statistice veridice în dependent de
gen și sex. Malocluziile au fost depistate în 80% cazuri. Clasa I Angle a fost
determinate mai frecvent (50%), Clasa II 14,1%, Clasa III 5,6%. Înghesuirile dentare în sectorul anterior au depistate în 32%, spaţiile dentare 19%,
ocluzie adîncă 19,5%, ocluzie deschisă 25%, overjet 25,5%, overbite 8,98%.
Prezenţa malocluziilor la copiii cu dizabilităţi neurologice sunt comparabile
cu cele primate de autorii din alte ţări. Malocluziile la copiii cu diabilităţi
neurologice au fost depistate în 80% cazuri cu o frecvenţă înaltă a fiecărei
patologii.
Summary.
To determine the prevalence of malocclusion and orthodontic treatment need in mentally handicapped children in Republic Moldova and to
assess whether the observed malocclusion is affected by age and sex. The
study population consisted of 420 children mentally handicapped children
between 6-20 years of age from 3 special schools for people with special
needs in Republic Moldova. A pre-structured questionnaire was used to
record the findings and socio-demographic information. The handicapped
children were examined in their respective schools under natural light. The
independent student's t-test was used for the comparison of mean score
between groups. There were no statistically significant differences (p< 0.05)
in the mean malocclusion scores between gender and among the age groups. Malocclusion was found in 80% of the subjects. Class I malocclusion
was most frequently observed (50,5%), Class II in 14,1%, Class III in 5.6%,
The malocclusion traits detected were anterior crowding in 32%, anterior
spacing in 19%, deep bite in 19.5%, open bite in 25%. overjet 25,5, overbite
8,98%. Prevalence of malocclusion among handicapped children in Republic Moldova is comparable with other populations. Mentally disabled individuals with malocclusion were in 80% and had higher frequencies of all
types the malocclusion.
