Rezumat
Corelaţia formă-funcţie pe tot parcursul vieţii individului poate avea un
rol important în procesul etiologic al anomaliei ocluzale. Dacă funcţia poate influenţa creşterea maxilarelor, atunci modificarea funcţiei poate cauza
anomalia dento-maxilară. Cele mai importante tulburări funcţionale sunt de
origine: labială, linguală, obiceiuri de sugere, deglutiţie infantilă, respiraţie
bucală, ce se instalează şi predomină în perioada dentiţiei deciduale şi a celei
mixte. Obiceiurile orale induc anomalii şi sunt dependente de frecvenţa, intesitatea şi durata acţiunii obiceiului. Avînd în vedere că obiceiurile vicioase
prezintă o proporţie foarte crescută în etiologia anomaliilor dento-maxilare,
combaterea acestora va duce la o scădere cu 30-40 % a anomaliilor dentomaxilare. Se consideră, de alt fel, că eliminarea obiceiurilor vicioase constituie unul din cele mai valoroase servicii ortodontice interceptive. Asocierea
reeducării funcţionale la tratamentul cu aparate ortodontice scurtează durata acestuia şi micşorează pericolul recidivelor. Astfel putem argumenta necesitatea efectuării unui screening a copiilor în perioada dentiţiei temporare şi
a celei mixte pentru a putea interveni ortodontic în cel mai eficient moment,
din punct de vedere a dezvoltării masivului cranio-facial.
Obiectivul de studiu a constituit studierea literaturii de specialitate cu
efectuarea unei sinteze asupra rolului etiologic al parafuncţiilor şi disfuncţiilor sistemului stomatognat în anomaliile dentomaxilare. Cu scopul depistarii cît mai precoce a obiceiurilor vicioase instalate sau a tendinţei acestora
de instalare, ce permite stabilirea corectă a principiilor, tipului şi eficacităţii
tratamentului aplicat.
Summary
Effect of adverse oral habits on the development of the dento-maxillary
system. The correlation between shape and function throughout a person’s
life can have an important role in the etiology of occlusal anomaly. If the
function influences the growth of the jaws, then changes of their function
can lead to malocclusion. The most important functional disorders are: labial, lingual, sucking habits, reverse swallow, mouth breathing, which appear
and prevail during the mixed and deciduous dentition. Oral habits lead to
malocclusion, which depends on frequency, intensity and duration of habits.
Facing vicious habits can lead to a 30-40% drop of jaws abnormalities, in
consideration of them representing a big part of the causes of dento-maxillary anomalies. It is considered that breaking oral habits is one of the most
valuable orthodontic treatment. Pairing functional education and orthodontic appliance shortens the duration of treatment and reduces the chance of
recurrence. A screening of children in primary and early mixed dentition
should be done so the orthodontic treatment is applied in the right time,
considering the growth and development of craniofacial structures.
