Programul de sănătate orală la copiii cu dizabilităţi şi cerinţe educative speciale pentru anii 2012—2014: oportunităţi şi perspective de realizare

Abstract

Rezumat. În contextul schimbărilor majore şi accelerate ale lumii contemporane, asigurarea unei stări de sănătate a copiilor şi tinerilor reprezintă una dintre direcţiile prioritare ale strategiei preventive a OMS. Conform datelor Biroului Naţional de Statistică al Republicii Moldova actualmente în ţară sunt circa 14000 copii cu dizabilităţi şi 2549 copii lipsiţi de grija părintească, 4836 din ei fiind amplasaţi în instituţii rezidenţiale. Morbiditatea înaltă a afecţiunilor stomatologice constatată la copiii cu dizabilităţi şi cerinţe educative speciale evidenţiază nivelul precar de asistenţă stomatologică copiilor şi lipsa implementării măsurilor preventive, atenţionează asupra necesităţii instituirii cât mai rapide a tratamentului cariilor, complicaţiilor ei şi aplicării metodelor de prevenire a afecţiunilor dentare. În lucrare sunt prezentate obiectivele şi căile de realizare a programului de sănătate orală la copiii cu dizabilităţi şi cerinţe educative speciale pentru anii 2012—2014. Prezentul program a fost aprobat de Ministerului Sănătăţii al Republicii Moldova. Programul are drept scop reducerea afecţiunilor dento-parodontale şi îmbunătăţirea calităţii vieţii copiilor cu dizabilităţi şi cerinţe educative speciale prin eficientizarea măsurilor de prevenire şi tratamentul oportun al cariei dentare şi complicaţiilor ei.

Summary. In the context of major and accelerated changes of the contemporary world, securing the health of children and young people is one of the main directions of WHO preventive strategy. According to the National Bureau of Statistics of the Republic of Moldova in the country are currently about 14000 children with disabilities and 2549 children without parental care, 4836 of which are placed in residential institutions. High morbidity of the dental diseases in children with disabilities and special educational needs, emphasize the poor dental care for children, and the lack of preventive measures highlights the need for an early treatment of caries and its complications, and also for the application of methods for preventing dental diseases. This report contains the objectives and the ways of realization of the oral health programme in children with disabilities and special educational needs for 2012—2014. This programme was examined and approved by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Moldova. The program aims to reduce dental disease and improve quality of life for children with disabilities and special educational needs through effective prevention and early treatment of caries and its complications.
