Abstract:
Background. In worldwide gastric cancer is the third leading cause of cancer death and is the fifth common type of cancer. Successful detection of early gastric cancer could significantly improve survival up to 90%. Early gastric cancer is defined as an invasive gastric cancer that is limited to the gastric mucosal and submucosal layer, irrespective of lymph node metastasis. Objective of the study. The aim of study is to help elucidate aspects related to the importance of diagnosis of early gastric cancer and the surgical treatment or the medical treatment, which aids patient lifespan. Material and Methods. This research represents a detailed synthesis of bibliographic sources published in scientific databases such as PubMed and Google Scholar in the years 2018-2022. Results. Performing a literature review and analyzing our experience, we may conclude that early diagnosis of gastric cancer with endoscopy with biopsy helpful in choosing appropriate treatment of the patient. We can also summarize that there were several causative agents of gastric cancer but often associated with genetic aspects, h. pylori infections, and chronic alcohol consumptions. Conclusion. Older age and infections such as h. pylori are strongly risk factors for developing gastric cancer, and endoscopy with biopsy is one of the best procedures in diagnosis of gastric cancer, knowing a number of these information permits to pick correct remedy pretty much less steeply priced and with much less complications.
