Rezumat.
A fost analizat un număr total de 68 de radiografii panoramice a unui lot de pacienţi cu vârsta cuprinsă între 25 şi 61 ani, în care s-a depistat în 81% din cazuri, erori şi complicaţii ca urmare a tratamentului endodontic. Lipsa de cunoştinţe sau aplicarea lor inadecvată în practică poate duce la o serie de erori accidentale în timpul terapiei de canal, care ulterior ar putea avea un impact legal. Măsurile preventive şi gestionarea acestor accidente este indispensabilă pentru succesul terapiei endodontice şi pentru menţinerea integrităţii naturale a dinţilor. Ca urmare a tratamentului endodontic eşuat, manifestat prin simptomatologie principală (durere la masticaţie, la percuţie, prezenţa fistulei) şi diverse semne radiologice, apare necesitatea de a relua tratamentul endodontic, discutat în prealabil cu pacientul despre posibilităţile acestuia. În consecinţă, retratamentul endodontic a devenit un domeniu bine definit de cunoştinţe şi expertiză în endodonţie, deoarece majoritatea complicaţiilor pot fi rezolvate cu tratamente chirurgicale sau nechirurgicale.
Summary. A total of 68 panoramic radiograms of patients aged between 25 and 61 years were analyzed, revealing that 81% of cases presented endodontic errors and complications. The lack of knowledge or inadequate application of it in practice can lead to a series of accidental errors during canal therapy. Preventive measures and management of these accidents are essential for the success of endodontic therapy and for maintaining the natural integrity of the teeth. As a result of failed endodontic treatment, manifested by primary symptoms such as pain during chewing, during percussion, and the presence of a fistula, as well as various radiological signs, there is a need to reconsider endodontic treatment, which should be discussed beforehand with the patient about their options. Consequently, retreatment of endodontics has become a well–defined area of knowledge and expertise in endodontics, as most complications can be resolved with surgical or non–surgical treatments.
