Examenul imagistic a defectelor superficiale ale tesuturilor dentare

Abstract

Examenul radiologic este o metodă esențială pentru evaluarea defectelor superficiale ale țesuturilor dentare. De-a lungul anilor, tehnologiile imagistice au evoluat considerabil, oferind o perspectivă detaliată asupra structurilor dentare și a patologiilor orale asociate acestora. Aceasta contribuie la identificarea timpurie a cariilor, eroziunilor, fisurilor dentare, oferind informații detaliate despre dimensiunea și localizarea defectelor, având un rol important in prevenirea progresiei afecțiunilor dentare și aplicarea tratamentelor minim invazive. Studiul de față explorează utilizarea și eficiența radiografiilor dentare, precum radiografia periapicală și tomografia computerizată conică (CBCT), în diagnosticarea leziunilor carioase, evidențiind avantajele și dezavantajele acestor tehnici.

Radiological examination is an essential method for evaluating superficial defects of dental tissues. Over the years, imaging technologies have evolved considerably, offering a detailed perspective on dental structures and their associated oral pathologies. This contributes to the early identification of caries, erosions, dental cracks, providing detailed information about the size and location of defects, having an important role in preventing the progression of dental diseases and the application of minimally invasive treatments. The present study explores the use and effectiveness of dental radiographs, such as periapical radiography and cone beam computed tomography (CBCT), in the diagnosis of carious lesions, highlighting the advantages and disadvantages of these techniques.
