dc.description.abstract Introducere. Rezultate. A prevalat genul masculin.
dc.description.abstract Introduction. The COVID-19 pandemic currently has surpassed any other health problem worldwide and has disrupted the successes in tuberculosis (TB) control globally. COVID-19 represents a life-threatening infection, contributing and promoting to a high rate of death due to a specific pathogen (SARS-CoV-2 virus). Objective. To assess and analysis the clinical and imaging characteristics in patients with TB/COVID-19 co-infection for determining the management of the TB/COVID-19 co-infection case. Material and methods. A retrospective study was conducted in patients who underwent treatment in Chiril Draganiuc Institute of Pneumology, where 80 patients with TB/COVID-19 co-infection (study group/LS) and 113 patients with TB (comparison group/LC) from the Republic of Moldova were included. The data obtained were analyzed using the Fisher’ exact statistical significance test. Results. Male patients prevailed. Clinical signs were asthenia 100%, anorexia SG 100%, CG 82%, cough SG 93%, CG 86%, fever SG 91%, CG 3%, (p<0,05) Conclusion. The clinical and imaging characteristics of patients with TB/COVID-19 co-infection is determined by the severity of the intoxication and bronchopulmonary syndrome manifestations, the patient’s comorbid status, the predominance of the condensation syndrome, interstitial and ground-glass opacity. en_US
