dc.description.abstract Today, incest is treated as a criminal act, prohibited by the ethical principles of human society, the Criminal Code of most countries of the world and harshly punished by the law. The article mentions the moral, psychological and physical consequences which are caused by the above-named act. The author stresses the taboo’s nature which varied considerably over the centuries, from one society to another, from one age to another. This study addresses the issue of incest from religious, legal, social and bioethical aspects. Actualmente incestul este considerat drept act criminal, prohibat de principiile etice ale societăţii umane, de Codul Penal al majorităţii ţărilor lumii şi pedepsit aspru de lege. În articol se menţionează despre consecinţele morale, psihologice şi fizice provocate de actul sus-numit. Autorul accentuează caracterul acestui tabu care a variat considerabil pe parcursul epocilor, de la o societate la alta, de la o vîrstă la alta. În acest studiu se abordează problema incestului din aspecte religioase, legale, sociale şi bioetice. en_US
