Abstract:
The human ability to retain breath is an unique example in physiology because a vegetative function (ie involuntary) can be stopped voluntarly. The scientific publications on this subject can not really explain very convincingly this intriguing phenomenon, even if it seems strange. In this paper will be examined the main effects of voluntary apnea on the body, the connection between the duration of apnea and the degree of training, the degree of anxiety, clinical syndromes associated with apnea, as model of voluntary apnea freediving, the test of voluntary apnea used as a method of treatment in the manner proposed by Buteyko.
Capacitatea omului de a reţine respiraţia este un exemplu unic în fiziologie, deoarece o funcţie vegetativă (adică involuntară) poate fi întreruptă voluntar. Şi cît nu ar părea de straniu, publicaţiile ştiinţifice la această temă nu prea pot să explice profund şi convingător acest fenomen intrigant. În acestă lucrare vor fi analizate principalele efecte ale apneei voluntare asupra organismului, legătura dintre durata apneei şi gradul de antrenament, gradul de anxietate, sindroamele clinice asociate cu apnee, ca model de apnee voluntară freediving-ul, despre testul cu apnee voluntară şi utilizarea acesteia ca metodă de tratament în modalitatea propusă de Buteyko.
