Rinita alergică şi astmul bronşic. O singură cale – o singură boală (Revista literaturii)

Abstract

Rhinitis and asthma, until recently, have been evaluated and treated as separate disorders, but nowadays opinion has moved this concept. “One way- one disease” hypothesis supposer that this two illnesses represent the manifestation of a single nosologic entity in two different parts of the human respiratory tract. Our article describes links between the upper and lower airways.

Interrelaţiile dintre procesele inflamatorii a căile respiratorii superioare (cavitatea nazală, sinusurile paranazale, faringe) şi celor inferioare (bronhii şi bronhiole) prezintă interes atît din punct de vedere clinic, cît şi fiziologic. Pentru a înţelege evoluţia patologiei care aparent afectează un singur etaj al sistemului respirator e nevoie de a analiza funcţia acestui sistem integru, ceea ce ne dă posibilitatea de a vizualiza influenţa acestei patologii asupra activităţii întregului sistem, cît şi vice-versa.
