Abstract:
COPD is an important cause of severe deterioration of quality of life. The aim of our study was to analyze the most important factors which contributed to severe affection of the health status in COPD patients depending on gender, to determine if there are any differences between the two groups of COPD patients. In the study where included 80 patients, 40 women and 40 men. The main predictors of quality of life in men are BODE index, degree of obstruction and comorbidities, whereas for women, the main predictors are age, exercise capacity and level of arterial oxygenation.
BPCO este o cauză importantă în deteriorarea severă a calităţii vieţii. Scopul studiului nostru a fost de a analiza cei mai importanţi factori care contribuie la afectarea severă a stării de sănătate în BPCO în dependenţă de gen, de a determina eventualele diferenţe între cele două grupe de pacienţi afectate de BPCO. Studiul a inclus 80 de pacienţi, 40 de femei şi 40 – bărbaţi. Am observat că predictorii calităţii vieţii la bărbaţi sunt: indexul BODE, comorbidităţile şi severitatea obstrucţiei; la femei: vîrsta, toleranţa la efort fizic şi gradul de oxigenare.
