Abstract:
The study included 40 patients that were diagnosed with liver hydatid cyst. We found necessary to evaluate the effectiveness of the methods of treatment in traditional and laparoscopic surgery, and also the frequency of postoperative complications. The first group included 30 patients who underwent traditional surgery with a rate of the complications of 16,67%. In the second group that included 10 patients was performed laparoscopic surgery and the complication rate was 20%. The results of the study guides to use a particular surgical approach depending on the size and the location of hepatic hydatid cysts.
