dc.description.abstract Chronic suppurative otitis media (CSOM) involves a perforation in the tympanic membrane and active bacterial infection within the middle ear space for several weeks or more. This disease is much more common in persons with poor Eustachian tube function. Hearing impairment often accompanies this disease. The main cause of CSOM is bacterial infection. This study has as objective the examination of the antibacterial effect of Trikaxon (ceftriaxon) within CSOM complex.
