Diagnosticul şi planificarea tratamentelor stomatologice la pacienţii cu semne de bruxism

Abstract

Bruxism represents a controversial phenomenon that should be diagnosticated and has a signification in treatments planning. Objectives of the treatments are directed to reduce the noxious potential which were caused by bruxism. The purpose of this study was to detect the signs that characterize the bruxism in order to plan effective dental treatments.The study was conducted on a group of 5 patients that were diagnosed with bruxism signs after clinical examination. The results were assessed subjectively by patients in attenuation the muscular and dental symptoms and signs of bruxism. Accumulated information allow us to conclude that: 1) Recognition of bruxism signs is preceded by systematic and thorough examination; 2) The effectiveness of dental treatments is dependent on correct planning of undertaken therapeutic measures.

Bruxismul reprezintă un fenomen controversat, care trebuie diagnosticat şi are o semnificaţie în planificarea tratamentelor. Obiectivele tratamentelor sunt îndreptate spre diminuarea potenţialului nociv produs de bruxism. Obiectivul acestui studiu a fost de a evidenţia semnele ce caracterizează bruxismul în scopul planificării unor tratamente stomatologice efective. Studiul a fost efectuat pe un lot de 5 pacienţi diagnosticaţi cu semne ale bruxismului după efectuarea examenului clinic. Rezultatele au fost apreciate subiectiv de către pacienţi prin atenuarea simptomelor şi semnelor musculare şi dentare de bruxism. Informaţiile obţinute permit a concluziona că: 1) Depistarea semnelor ce caracterizează bruxismul este precedată de o examinare sistematizată şi minuţioasă; 2) Eficacitatea tratamentelor stomatologice este dependentă de planificarea corectă a măsurilor terapeutice întreprinse.
