Summary. Guided percutaneous nephrostomy in a large proportion of patients with advanced cancer which are unable to restore the overall condition and correct renal hemodynamic indices, is the first step of treatment, allowing us to perform a subsequent surgery, chemotherapy or radiotherapy. In the case presented a 57 year old patient with stage IIIb cervix Cr T3bNxMo, on a background of radiotherapy treatment, developed a infrarenal bilateral block, anuria, subcompensated renal failure. Due to the percutaneous nephrostomy, the patient continue to manage the radiotherapy rehabilitation treatment. Total tumor regression and 6 years survival was achieved. |
