Abstract:
Summary. Early detection of renal impairment in patients with hepatic cirrhosis could permit implementation of salvage therapies and improve patients’ outcomes. The utility of combined measurement of urinary enzymes were studied in 114 patients. The elevated values of enzymes were estimated at patients with advanced liver disease. We suggest that measurement of these enzymes in random urine samples may be particularly useful for identifying patients with liver cirrhosis at high risk of renal complications.
