Numeroși factori joacă un rol în patogeneza bolii de reflux gastroesofagian (BRGE). Este stabilită o legătură între boala de reflux gastroesofagian și factorii
genetici. Astfel, statistic la gemenii monozigoți BRGE se întîlnește mult mai des decît la cei heterozigoți. Datele din literatură publicate în ultimele decenii
indică spre anamneza familială – prezența bolii de reflux gastroesofagian la părinți și rudele apropiate, ceea ce confirmă predispoziția genetică. La fel, se
cercetează polimorfismul genetic, ce influențează asupra reacțiilor inflamatorii, metabolismului substanțelor medicamentoase și mutațiilor genetice, dar și
genele legate de riscul dezvoltării BRGE, esofagului Barret și adenocarcinoamelor.
Many factors are involved in the pathogenesis of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). The relationship between gastroesophageal reflux disease and
genetic factors is established. From the statistical point of view, GERD occurs more often among monozygotic twins than among heterozygous. Published
research results over the last few decades elucidate the presence of gastroesophageal reflux disease in the family history, in parents and relatives, confirming
genetic predisposition. Genetic polymorphism of genes that influence inflammatory reactions, metabolic drug substances, genetic mutations, as well as
genes associated with risk of developing GERD, Barrett's esophagus and adenocarcinoma is also investigated.
