The analysis of the questionnaire results demonstrates that psychosocial support is represented by family 51.32%;society 16.52%;healthcare personnel 13.45%;the community together with various associations 1.46%;the church 16.52% and respectively 0.73% of patients reported that they do not have or do not need emotional support. Thus;psychosocial and emotional support is a key to the souls of patients;to teach them how to manage the difficult situations of the disease;to learn to accept their reality;and at the same time;to maintain their treatment trajectory;even if the cruel disease has left its mark on their thoughts and lives. Conclusion. Psycho-oncology is the branch of medicine that can provide emotional support to patients;based on personalized;holistic medicine centered on the individual needs of patients. Correct understanding of the needs of oncology patients can improve the chances of compliance and treatment |

| Abstract: | Introducere. Din motivul creşterii incidenţei fenomenului, atestăm o sporire a măsurilor de suport psihologic al pacienţilor oncologici. Menţionăm, aici, strategii de coping şi asistenţă psihologică menite să ajute pacienţii să-şi diminueze durerea psiho-emoţională şi să se adapteze la schimbările condiţionate de boală. Scop. Analiza experienţei internaţionale a managementului suportului psihologic în tratamentul pacienţilor oncologici şi identificarea celor mai bune practici pentru managementul pacienţilor oncologici. Material şi metode. Studiul este de tip narativ, descriptiv. S-a realizat sinteza a mai multor surse ştinţifice, utilizând baze de date: PubMed, MEDLINE, ScienceDirect; GoogleScholar. Introduction. Due to the increasing incidence of the phenomenon, we are witnessing an increase in psychological support measures for oncology patients. We mention here coping strategies and psychological assistance aimed at helping patients reduce their psycho-emotional pain and adapt to the changes caused by the disease. Objective. Analysis of international experience in the management of psychological support in the treatment of oncological patients and identification of best practices for the management of oncological patients.
