Abstract:
This article presents the summary of
a five year work of the Orthopedic
section of the Emergency Clinical
Hospital. The experience shows that
stabilization of the fracture by spatial
external fixator determins a good
evolution. The open fracture fixation
determins: augmenting the soft parts
and tegument surviving possibilities,
augmenting the rejection capacity of
the infectious attack, amelioration of
eventual wounds care conditions, acceleration of the bone consolidation,
precocious mobilization and avoiding the complications due to long immobilization: peripheral trombosis,
algoneurodistrofic syndrome, joint
stiffness, muscular atrophies.
