dc.description.abstract Function disorders of the spine lead to the breakdown of innervation and vascularization to internal organs that are manifested through various somatic diseases and functional conditions. The study presents results of school spinal screening examination when the internal organs and nervous system pathology were analyzed in this group of students (n = 773) in comparison with the total sample (n = 2741). We used orthopedic clinical examination, with the obligatory Adams test, scoliometry, and plumb line. For the students at risk, it was indicated as necessary X-rays of the spine, photometry, stabilometry, plantography, electromyography, examination of respiratory function, electrocardiography, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging. Analysis of medical cards, clinical and laboratory data has shown that pupils with spine deformities (especially scoliosis and posture disorders gr. II-III) in comparison to the total population often meet chronic diseases of ENT organs (5% vs 4 %), acute viral infections and food allergies (not mentioned in the medical documentation) confirms decreased immunity. In the study group digestive organs pathology (11.7% vs 3%), urinary system (3.98% vs 5.4%) and different neurotic conditions (5.8% vs 4%) (p<0,05) were diagnosed more often. Therefore the early diagnosis of spine pathology at school is an important condition for screening and management of premorbid pathological conditions of the adolescent health. en_US
