Background. Congenital uterine abnormalities result from abnormal formation, fusion or resorption of
the Mullerian ducts during fetal life. These abnormalities have been associated with an increased rate of
miscarriage, preterm birth, and other fetal adverse outcomes. Objective of the study. To evaluate the
prevalence and incidence of the septate uterus in the Republic of Moldova. To determine the incidence
of uterine malformations - uterus unicor in a private clinic in the Republic of Moldova. Material and
Methods. All pelvic MRI (1.5-3 tesla) with contrast and without were examined, from 01.01.2016 to
20.11.2016. During this time, 196 MRIs were performed according to the program, only 167 MRIs were
included in the study, because 6 people were excluded, the sex of the person was detected incorrectly,
and another 23 MRIs were excluded, having total or partial hysterectomy performed. The age of the
examined persons is between 6 months and 81 years. Results. 15 uterine malformations were detected,
which represents 11.13%. Among the uterine abnormalities were detected 6 cases of bicorn uterus, 3
cases of didelph uterus, 2 cases of uterine agenesis and septate uterus and one case of arcuate uterus,
and unicorn. Conclusion. In this study we determined that the prevalence of uterine malformations in
an unselected population in the Republic of Moldova is 11.13%, and that of the septate uterus is 1.2%,
data that are similar and correspond to the international literature.
Introducere. Anomaliile uterine congenitale rezultă din formarea anormală, fuziunea sau resorbția
ducturilor Mulleriane in timpul vieții fetale. Aceste anomalii au fost asociate cu o rată crescută de avort
spontan, naştere prematură şi alte rezultate adverse fetale. Scopul lucrării. Pentru a evalua prevalența
și incidența uterului septat în Republica Moldova. Pentru a determina incidența malformațiilor uterine -
uter unicor într-o clinică privată din Republica Moldova. Material și Metode. Au fost examinate toate
RMN (1,5–3 tesla) pelvine cu contrast și fară, pentru perioada 01.01.2016 - 20.11.2016. În acest interval
de timp au fost efectuate, conform programului, 196 de RMN, în studiu fiind incluse doar 167 de RMN,
deoarece 6 persoane au fost excluse iniţial, fiind depistat greşit sexul persoanei, iar alte 23 de RMN au
fost excluse pe parcurs, pentru pacienţii cu histerectomie totală sau parțială. Vârsta persoanelor
examinate este între 6 luni și 81 de ani. Rezultate. Au fost depistate 15 malformații uterine, ceea ce
reprezintă 11,13%. Dintre anomaliile uterine au fost detectate 6 cazuri de uter bicorn, 3 cazuri de uter
didelf, 2 cazuri de uter agenez şi uter septat și câte un caz de uter arcuat, și unicorn. Concluzii. În acest
studiu am determinat că prevalența malformațiilor uterine, într-o populație neselectată în RM, constituie
11,13%, iar a uterlui septat este de 1,2%, date similare literaturii de specialitate internaționale.
