Abstract:
Background. Efficiency of orthodontic diagnosis and treatment. Objective of the study. 1. Analysis of
morphological and functional cranio-maxillo-facial deviations characteristic of patients with congenital
OMF cleavage. 2. Detection of cranial, skeletal gnatic peculiarities of patients with congenital clefts.
Material and Methods. 9 profile teleradiographs were analyzed, calculating 50 parameters each. The
analysis of the obtained data was performed according to the Tweed-Merrifield, Rikets methods with
the “Mave Cloud” software. Results. Determination of cephalometric parameters according to the
Tweed-Merrifield method: Deviation of the FMA angle value by + 5.01 ° (p <0.05); Maxilla - average
decrease of the SNA angle by 6.94 ° (p <0.01). Conclusion. The analysis of the obtained data
demonstrated the following morpho-functional disorders of the dento-cranio-facial complex:
pronounced sagittal maxillary underdevelopment; severe sagittal intermaxillary disproportions with
reverse frontal gear; posterior vertical skeletal deficit.
