Abstract:
A serious obstacle to achieving the maximum possible social adaptation of patients, functional recovery and reintegration into society is the
phenomenon of stigmatization and self-stigmatization. Self-stigmatization
is a series of prohibitions associated with social activity that the mentally
ill impose on their own lives, accompanied by a sense of inferiority and
social inadequacy. Manifestations of self-stigmatization affect the involvement and participation of the patient in the therapeutic process - motivation for treatment.
