Abstract:
Acupuncture is a traditional method of treatment through which we
obtain benefits without subjecting the body to adverse effects. A bioethical
aspect that I want to highlight in this article is the principle of non-harm
that has as its primary purpose „Primum non nocere”. Clinically, medical staff should notdo anything that would intentionally harm patients and
should not offer ineffective treatments just for the need to assert themselves
as a specialist. Therefore acupuncture comes as a salvation, making the
connection between bioethics and modern medicine.
